Great track and sounds, that DVCO (I presume) sounds magnificent.
The clap is very 909. And I have heard tracks with a 808-like snare. It seems like Elektron put in some effort to get some of the machines in ‘familiar sounding’ territory.
Maybe that was a problem with the Rytm, and why some people say the analog machines sounds like shit. Because you couldn’t get into that familiar territory easily. I don’t know the Rytm that well so I could be talking complete nonsense.
The hats and cymbals will obviously not sound like 909, those are samples anyway on the 909. But I have heard some really nice hats & cymbals from the Syntakt. I didn’t really like those on the M:C, and though I have heard some very M:C-like hats, I have also heard plenty of other hats that I like a lot.
I’m enjoying this thread! Even if I don’t have a Syntakt.
Great job Elektron, and to everyone that’ve contributed so many great tracks already.
Minimal shuffle noodling. No post processing.
Still getting a feel for what’s possible, really like how you can saturate the outgoing signal with the analog FX block. Instant mastering!
listened then to some other elektron jamms of yours too. Same.
its stunning what people get out.
Some few more words “vs. your post processing” would have been appreciated tough
My first attempt with the syntakt, I processed it with the blackbox for some subtle saturation and glue and a l2 limiter at the end of the chain.
Enjoy!
