Love Rachmad but I’d say this is pretty pretty banging.

I think there’s banging techno that can still feel very thought provoking or hypnotic to me. To me the hypnotic thing is more an emotional or embodied thing than an intellectual/rational thing though - but I realise the “smart” part in the title is more a tongue in cheek way of just saying other-than-banging

Sounds like this thread needs a week with the Kompakt records back catalogue.

A playlist I made not so long back. Any recommendations to add would be super!

every time I try and check back on this thread I get that “try again” sad face message.

this thread has literally turned into the popular underground club over the last hour and you need to personally know j3rk or grease a bouncer to get in.

See to me it’s not very banging, and your view is fine… Hence my original comments about perception being likely to be really wide when it comes to what vibe any particular Techno is

I agree! (And to me Steve Rachmad has a very mindful character, in case I didn’t write that clear. But I do think it’s banging:)

Monolake tends to stray in and out of the Techno zone, but it definitely has this sort of feel.

Nothing more perfect than a “thinking person’s” thread spawning an argument

the descartes quote is actually “I think, therefore I disagree”

if anyone is not in agreement … perhaps you are a thinking person

No Rrose?

Like that, check out their other project with Lucy called Lotus Eater (not to be confused with the heavy metal band of the same name).
