SVEN!!!
See, THAT is a wonderful example. Up-tempo a bit, fairly hard hitting, but it’s also minimal, hypnotic, and something you could kick back and listen to with a whiskey and cigar, and maybe even scratch your chin to it a bit. It bangs, but it seeps into your brain too, which was kind of the point.
I mean, I listed a few criteria, but they were fairly loose, and not every example here has to exhibit ALL of them at the same time. We can mix and match!
We can go all out minimal funky tech house too.
I just wanted to contrast the other techno thread a little bit. So far, everything in here is tip top IMO.
I also love most of the things in the other thread. I’m just not always in the mood for the more crunhy stuff. More often, I want to hear something that I can play out on my deck with a drink, in the sun (what little we get that here in Seattle… ) and just enjoy listening.
Anna Reusch is another one that has a wider range of styles, but she plays some really nice slower and more minimal stuff.
Nina Kraviz falls under this category too. Sometimes she plays some really amazing and thoughtful sets, and others more high energy stuff that suits the venue.
Another housey one. Danny always spans a lot of different genres in a set too, but the sets are always good.
On the housey subject:
Always like Erhalder’s sets too. Some bang more, some bang less, but they’re fun to listen to.
Wow, thanks. Out of place artefacts is awesome.
You say Barker, I think Snd
Good shouts, I guess you could also say Ostgut Ton in general.
How about “people’s techno”, if we’re trying to be inclusive.
Edit:
So your attempt at a joke trumps people feeling included, got it. Peace out, I’m clearly not welcome here.
Edit:
think about the people that arent thinking though… WAIT dont think
I’m thinking about your post, and I like it.
Don’t think!!!
Feeeeeeellllllllll!!!
It is like a finger, pointing away to the moon…
SMACK
Don’t concentrate on the finger, or you will miss all of that heavenly gloooooooory.
