My guess is a mono semi modular synth with a sequencer. Looks like a new design.
I guess it will use the same VCOs as the Neutron.
Is it an MC202 clone?
Another round in name that synth:
Perhaps Behringer doesnât really make synths at all, just prototype promises with unbelievable prices.
And iâm wondering what is happening with the drastic 30% and 33% price drop on the whole DeepMind series. Is this a permanent thing â perhaps profits are better at a lower price?, or are they temporarily clearing stock, or is it something else? Iâve seen speculation that there will be a DeepMind ][ series â DeeperMinds?
It would be cool if the DeepMind had an analog in, and then I guess some degree of multitimbrality to address the analog in.
Something where you could dedicate 2 voices to the analog in, and then have the 10 remaining voices be for the oscillators.
Maybe that is part of the âDeeperâ equation?
I suppose they donât want to cannibalise sales of the effects, plus: there was talk of them releasing an fx-unit, called Maelstorm. If thatâs reasonably priced and has a decent amount of ins and outs and nice modulation features (LFO, env followerâŚ) that could be a real hit when you take into account the quality of these effects!
When I looked yesterday the prices were the same in uk as allways, not sure where these 30% price drops are listed.
Itâs at many, many of the major retailers across the US. Itâs not just one or two places like sometimes.
I expect that sales worldwide would stop until we see reductions like in the USA , itâs human nature to want what âtheyâ have and save money
And then I might wait a little longer for it to hit the 2nd hand market and pickup the module.
I must admit Iâve only played around with the Deepmind for five minutes, so I canât really speak to the effects. TC Electronicâs got some decent stuff though, if not always the most adventurous, so a box with their effects and decent modulation could be useful, especially at affordable prices.
The market for that is kind of on its ass (Thereâs the Heat, but aside from that⌠not much comes to mind!) An Adrenalinn-esque device could really clean up with the Elektron/drummachine/groovebox crowd!
Apparently the new TC Electronic pedals are manufactured by Behringer, theyâre cheap and a lot of them use BBD chips. Iâve got one of these choruses on the way, but the Echobrain delay also looks good if you need a simple analog delay.

Whatever happened to that TC Electronics Juno chorus pedal?
Itâs been like a year and it still isnât out. Who knows if itâll ever make it to production.
More synths on the way
Expect a lead time of about 18 months to two years before youâd see anything reach the market from this group of hires.
Cory Banks (of BBoy Tech Report) got his hands on an early version of the MS-101.
Why does Behringer give this synth to such a stupid reviewer! Looks like he doesnât know that much about synths! Must be the worst review I have ever seen, with mostly irritating sound! Give us some acidbleeps, heavy square subosc basslines, oldskool Boc style with Alesis midiverb!
Move that fucking envelope and filter so we can hear that it doesnât sound normal! I have Roland mc202 and sh01a and this distorted env is not normal at all!
What did you expect mate
Itâs a behringer
