I’m so looking forward to the viable alternative to song mode. Can’t be far away now…
Very soon…
There’ll be an app for that? Love the tracker design
A second Filter per track please - high plus low pass or EQ or bandpass. Ideally high and low. Or good Q and slope adjustment on both sides of a bandpass.
Having both high and low pass filters or dedicated EQ per sound is crucial to both creative sound design and a clean mix.
I believe this would not only be the most important feature but would also be one of the easiest for Elektron to implement.
Sure, if you download a pre-built kit that eq work is done. But if you’re into creative sound design using field recordings, vinyl records, glass jar hits with pencil, washing machine beatings, etc then I believe you’re the reason this box was built and you need to control your sound.
It’s a bummer to jump into a DAW so early in a beat just to clean up the mix and get it right.
I know, resampling. But when you go from headphones to monitors or whatever you’re wishing for a time machine.
I would choose this one feature over five other features. PLEASE Elektron. Please.
I mainly use DT and DN in combo and I frequently try to hit the Filter page button twice on the DT to access the base/width filter and it’s not there! The way the dual filter system is implement on the DN is great. So, I second @zacrobat’s request to put it on DT too
There was a bit of a upstir (?) about the filter thing on the Digitakt around the time the Digitone Keys was released, Ess said that apparently because of the code or its general „architecture“ a second filter stage would be hard to implement, but they were definitely considering it. Nothing came out of it so far, though.
I’d be very happy with Sample Rate reduction as an fx
I can’t be the only one who really likes pattern chain workflow?
you defo could
Let us Send Pitch and Modwheel data to our synths please.
For live performances with non-clocked (ie flesh and blood) bandmates, would be really great if there was an option to change the metronome sound, and the ability to put metronome only (or metronome and additional tracks) in the headphone jack, and not have it coming out the mains.
Current solution is to put all tracks on one side and a metronome on the other and then send the band click with one of the outs. But it means you can’t have a shared click AND use stereo. Which sux.
it’s great but with with pattern chain save it will be better
Recalibrate cutting, Can return to a sample to change its length. Please! Please Please!!
- Latch Control All
- Print LFO to trig p-locks (example- apply LFO to track level - with each trig already on the track, record the level as a p-lock). Then you could re-use the LFO to do something else.
Relative p-locks
What would also be splendid is to have an additional, alternative kind of p-lock that is relative to the p-lock’s that precede it - i.e. a p-lock that would transpose this note by +3 relative to earlier conditions - or increase the filter level by 20 increments relative to current levels - this would then give us a type of p-lock that could be altered by Cntl-all activity or promote havoc with trig-conditions.
Already exists, resample.
Send the Digitakt MIDI Thru to your MIDI router, or use a merge box. Works fine.
Just record in whatever type of knob twist over the length of the pattern, smooth, jumpy, whatever, there’s your “LFO” locked to the sequencer and you can use the LFO for whatever.
Not exactly.
Well yeah not exactly but you should be able to easily achieve the result you’re looking for, between knob record and tweaking the locks a bit. No need to add some new button combos etc for functionality that already exists at the base level.
