The Digitakt Feature Request Thread

I guess I was thinking it would still triggerless track select because changing tracks doesn’t really have a negative effect in a control all type mode. You still have to let go of the track button already after switching now if you want to control 1 track. So yeah there shouldn’t be any conflicts compared to how it is used now.

experienced control all?

i would highly welcome something like dedicated control all, in case you don‘t want to control every filter of every track, what mostly doesn‘t make sense while using different filter types …

could be realised with an additinal function to choose which parameters or tracks get affected by control all.

choose tracks for being controlled by „control all“

Would love to see a second filter to cut the low frequencies, machine would really shine with this!

record undo/trig mutes would be nice but there are work around’s for these.

over drive could have a little bit more power but its OK

everything else I can live with

Cheers and beers

new performance effect:

hold down two or more audio track keys in order to change a parameter on both tracks simultaneously. (similar to control all but more flexible)

Be able to turn off “Transport Send”

Yes, control all is great fun. That’s not what I’m talking about though. If there was a ‘Master’ page for every parameter, you could visually compare them and adjust each discreetly. For the same reason one might want a master volume page (compare and adjust), one might want to look at all pan settings, send settings, overdrive settings… at once and adjust from there. Could also provide a way to see what X automation was going on where.

It would need another button combo though, holding track button is allready needed for trigerless track select, func+track+ track channel maybe.

FUNC+Master(LFO) twice to get to a select for ctrl-all screen? Similar to the alternate SRC screen. Once there, push encoders 1-8 to target those tracks. Think the harder bit is how to communicate to the user which tracks are ctrl-all enabled. Would be easy to forget.

On the flexible-ctrl-all note… What if you could push an encoder to enable the parameter for ctrl-all and then keep pushing encoders to enable additional params and once you actually turn a single encoder, all ‘enabled’ parameters would be adjusted by that amount. That way you could, say, push enable filter cutoff, delay send and overdrive all at once and your single ctrl-all encoder turn would affect all three at once.

Extending that further, for performance, it would be pretty amazing if you could save 8 ctrl-all targets with the project. Combining these two that would be a selection of 1-8 tracks and a selection of 1-N parameter targets. Then, at anytime you could ctrl-all that particular set of track/param targets. I bet this could be done in Lemur or something.

So you basically asking for A4-like performances or a “lite” variant of OT-like scenes on a digi box …

maybe it would be better to change the tune sensitivity … it moves very fast…making it hard to tune precisely. also when pressing and turn the knob it would be better to change in tones rather than four tones as it is now.

And i would love to have envelopes repeat functionality… to the amp and filter… i have seen this to the ultranova and its a small addition but great for sound design

probably already been requested…

also mentioned some posts ago …

holding multiple tracks while controlling parameters would be a nice feature additionally to control all!

  • Zero cross point snap option for the sample loop and start points

  • Crossfade option and amount for the sample loop area

  • Sample page zoom

  • Band pass and notch filters

  • Grain envelope ( to be triggered at the loop start point frequently ) [ this can also achieved by adding an exp./log. parameters seperately for the loop area’s crossfade attack decay slopes ]

I’m missing an easy way to get rid of samples in a project when my sample pool is full. The route I know is diving into Settings (Settings/Samples/Left Arrow/View Ram/Select and Unload), but once there, you can’t listen to the samples you’re highlighting which is quite inconvenient.
I also use the sample replacement shortcut (FUNC+Assign, FUNC+YES, then choose new sample), but you have to do that one sample at a time.

Anyone knows of other fast ways to free up space in the sample pool?

awesome idea but that’d probably get mighty hot on your lap though :stuck_out_tongue:

I’m actually using an Anker battery pack with a metal enclosure and similar dimensions. It’s not warming up at all. The Digitakt doesn’t draw that much power. Not that Elektron would ever make something like that. But I thought it would be nice if they did.

I’d really like slices and sample until x amount of steps for trimless loops.

Gotta say since the transfer update I’m enjoying using the Digitakt a lot more, not being able to get samples off of it was a dealbreaker for me and made me not want to use it, but now I’ve been using it again I’m remembering what a cool little box it is, glad I didn’t sell it now.

Id say the editor for input samples is a design classic. +1 for making it available for transfered samples.

I have noticed that if you press the left arrow key while track is playing, it slows down the track few notches. Does anyone know the point of that?

Was hoping it would slow down the track to a stop, which would sound cool

Hmm, yes this could be implemented by going to sample list copy sample, then open sampling and paste in.

I’d like to see a “LAST” trig condition. So trigs that fire on the final runthrough of a pattern when you’ve selected to switch to another pattern (either manually or in a chain) – can use this to add fills, risers, bridging sections, transitions…
