The Eventide H9 has the same looper algorithm, and great MIDI too.

Hey thanks a lot! The RC-505 has always seduced me but I was never really able to afford it, aha. The Aeros Loop Studio was actually given to me by Singular Sound (as some kind of sponsorship) so I couldnā€™t justify buying the RC-505 anymore. But yeah it actually seems to be one of the most popular options for hardware live-looping. Iā€™m a huge Marc Rebillet fan and Iā€™m always super impressed by how complex his performances are! I didnā€™t even know you could use it with a footswitch but that would be an amazing setup for sure.

@hausland Unfortunately I canā€™t say those reviews are wrong as the Aeros interface doesnā€™t feel super smooth indeed. I personally think itā€™s well-designed but the touchscreen feels slow as hell, aha, itā€™s not super precise too. In the smartphone era it feels dated. But you donā€™t need the touchscreen when playing and thatā€™s all that matters to me. The switches feel super good and responsive so the UI was never in the way of my performances so far.

As for the USB/Bluetooth features I never tried those so canā€™t really comment. I used the SD card thing once and it worked well. Iā€™m not a big fan of all these modern features honestly, they feel quite unnecessary. But the MIDI-clock has never failed me which is what I care the most about. :sparkles:

Sean Daniel explains how you use it with a pedal, in a video, specifically in this one at around 0:50 mark (he speaks about the previous model though)

Thanks a lot! This looks really-really cool, Iā€™m pretty sure it should be possible on the mk2 as it seems to have been improved in every possible way<3

Just scored myself a Voyager I - perhaps a sort of grandparent to the Delta. Tremolo is much as youā€™d expect. The drive/fuzz control is the secret sauce though. Warm and muzzy and soothing. Enjoying it very much.

Looks amazing, I love my delta, best trem I ever used, awesome sound. The Voyager seems really great, nothing beats fuzz and trem, the best combo. Good score!

As an 80s kid, my favourite fuzz/tremolo combo is the reverse sawtooth/repeat percussion trem/fuzz thing. This is one of my sofa toys. Not remotely useful for anything other than sitting on the couch pretending to be in Playing With Fire-era Spacemen 3. But even soā€¦

Nice comparison of the two trems here. The Delta is very sweet. May have to grab one. Listening to another demo it sounds outstanding with dirt in front of it. And th lag control is amazing

Yep, spaceman 3, that works :facepunch:

My CE-1 clone arrived
Been auditioning the hell out of it for a few hours and couldnā€™t be happier with those chorusy-jangly-syrupy vibes of the 70ā€™s. Think, prog-rock, echo beach
Eeeeh, just wish I could say itā€™s just as splendid with Bass and synth, but the CE-2w and CE-2B far better in that respect.
Fear not, it is soooooo good on guitar and very different to the CE-2 varieties that itā€™s definitely worth having. My only regret is not getting the bigger version (same price) which has true bypass, as the pedals amp is always on and while very tasty itā€™s not always what I want (but Iā€™m putting it in a pboard loop so no big deal).

PastFx Chorus Ensemble mini, comes in NOS MN3002(original) and MN3007 builds.

Several reviews on the y tube.

Anybody rocking the Quad Cortex?

I see the new firmware finally added the looper

Just ordered it!

I have for almost a year already. Was among the first pre-orders.

It ticked almost all of the boxes, I wanted in a modular, so I am really happy with it. Especially after yesterdayā€™s update - yet for me itā€™s not about the looper, but about some decent modulation effects, finally.

Main selling points for me were form-factor, UI and general simplicity - I donā€™t need to be adjusting tube bias or sag or whatever else things like Axe give to you. So itā€™s really easy to wrap your head around, get a great tone quickly and it fits into my guitar bagā€™s pocket

I would indeed consider the RC 505 MK2, easy to use, flexible, volume fader per track, ā€¦
The Aeros is touch screen so not very fan of it since youā€™d need your hands (and the price is impressiveā€¦).
One good thing with a looper is that it can interact with Midi but also be independent so you can change project flawlesly while using the looper for transition for instance.
If it can be set to Master in Midi clock, it also means you can start with a guitar loop and the rest of the setup will follow which is a huge plus in terms of flexibility for me.

Picked up my first new guitar pedal in quite some time. Not a cheap one, but man I love this thing. I got it for bass, but Iā€™m loving it on guitar as well.

This thing just oozes 1970s funky tones. I will most certainly be overusing it. Stevie Wonder ran his Clavinet through one for Higher Ground, maybe Iā€™ll experiment with running a Volca Keys and Bass through it later.

I dug out an old friend the kanji fuzz factory. So many cool sounds omg.

Since making electronic music requires a completely different approach in almost every way compared to non dance music Iā€™m trying to approach the guitar differently too. Iā€™m mainly talking about phrasing but sounds too. Be unpredictable. I wanted to be able to play guitar intuitively and I got my wish. But itā€™s pretty clearly pop/blues based. A teeny but of jazz.

Do you guys try to approach guitar differently given your understanding of eg the elektron workflow?

Eg:

  • Blues licks are prohibited
  • Donā€™t overuse chord changes
  • Actually minimize notes played!

I also got this, havenā€™t tried it yet. I guess it could help making very busy electro. Iā€™m hoping hammer-ons will be interpreted as legato and not trigger the filter envelope. That might be cool.

Iā€™m looking for a small amp/cab/FX modeling setup to practice at home with. It needs a headphone out for when the little one is sleeping. Any suggestions?

Do you mean you want an all-in-one modeling unit? If so, check out the Helix series from Line 6. Itā€™s one core software platform with several hardware options based on your needs/budget.

Another vote for Line 6 Helix family.

I have an HX Stomp XL which is a part of that family. I have it plugged into a Line 6 Stagesource speaker. It also has a 1/4" headphone out.

It can also load IR files. I think most owners use that feature to load IRs of their favorite cabs. Iā€™ve got some violin IRs loaded for making my electric violins sound more acoustic, and it works very well for that.

Yes, an all in 1 unit. Something I can plug headphones in or play through my mixer or directly record from it to MPC/DAW.
