I suspect the negative reviews were either paid plants or people who expected to get an industrial machine for $50. I had zero problems beyond trying to fit 49 sheets of paper plus two plastic covers into the 3/8" comb. Punching was fine, even when I put in a few more than 12 sheets of paper or punched two plastic covers together. Slow and steady wins the race.
Thanks for this info. And thanks for the warning:
I need to be both drunk and high the first time I use the machine.
Well, have you ever taken any drugs? If so, just blame them!
Good point - I think I’ll blame the absence of drugs in my system.
They look like convenient slots for adding some kind of page tabs.
And in the case of an OT manual, gives you the option of binding it shut to preserve sanity I suppose.
Book darts are nice for that.
Another tree dead thanks to the excellent Doxdirect…
Even though I have a big(gish) collection of paper manuals, I still prefer a pdf on the laptop, or even better, Youtube walkthroughs. They free up both hands too if it isn’t ringbound
I have got a couple of DIY manuals that people have sent with gear though, but they’re often 1 or more versions old, so i’m probably better off reading a pdf in case of amendments to the things i’m stuck with. Printer ink isn’t cheap either and I can resize a pdf.
