Thanks for this! Never knew of this site before. Future Islands in there too - love them.
I wonder the same. Sounds like an OB6.
Thanks!!!
This is great!!! For some reason I figured OB6 instead of the P6 because of the buzzy fuzzy texture. Thanks again for enlightening me!
Had no idea what synth it was. Just knew that Radiohead fans are obsessive and they try to discover everything haha!
This is sweet!! It even shows you all the cord progression.
really nice yes. The U-he plugin sounds so sweet as well
Yes very impressive, although I’ll be saving up for the hardware version!
Yeah I often think about selling my little synth collection, just get a prophet 6 and shut up
Or just get an AS-1 (multi-track if necessary) and keep your other synths
Can he not hear himself in the monitors or something? Awfully pitchy…
Yeah, a bit. Still awesome.
Yes he’s gone a bit more avant-garde on his singing. Turns many Radiohead fans off, but that’s ok, he needs to distinguish his solo work with that of the band. And he can’t be singing at the same way forever.
I have the feeling that he always is more concentrated on his performance than his pitch. He’s always dancing, even when playing guitar he’s moving/shaking his head all the time. I believe that this is the reason why he does not sing as good as he can quite often.
There were piano performances for example, where he’s calm and more concentrated, and there he hits almost every note and it sounds like on the records…
But I agree, the first song is awfully pitchy
I’m a big fan of a Radiohead/Thom Yorke/Atoms for peace. In this track I think the drums are amazing, both the programming and cool sound to them. I wondered if anyone could share some insight into equipment etc.
