Transition trick with external synth - how?

hi, i using this trick form months and it’s great. works perfect and no problems. i have considered to add DSI Tempest to it as well and sample it together for transition. i have a problems with levels and crossfader does not mute the source (Tempest) in A position.

could someone guide me through the setting process?

I think the gain in the mixer section overrides the volume control for the thru machine. If you reset the mixer to default then you should be able to control the volume for the separate tracks with the crossfader.
