Trigger different slices on the same pattern

Hello All,

I’m JF from Hong Kong and a new owner of an Octatrack, After two weeks spent discovering the main features I’m now starting to dig more into the sampling part.

Before writing this post I have made some research on the forum and youtube but the only answers I’ve found were quite complex and maybe not related to my issue.

Basically I have a 10 seconds sample recorded from a vinyl, from that 10 seconds, I have created a slice for the 3 first seconds and a 2nd slice for the last two seconds.

When I trigger the sample on the sequencer, only the first slice is being played and I’m still trying the find a solution the trigger the 2nd slice on the same pattern.

Any idea on how to do that?

Also double-check that no Scenes are affecting the STRT parameter, because Scene’s settings override everything else.

Mind that can also be an LFO,somehow :wink:

Anyway: as Baddcr wrote check first Playback Setup page for Slice Mode to be ON.
You’ll have it clear in mind also looking at the values displayed by STRT knob.

If ON they should be: SL1, SL2, … , SL64

If OFF: 1>127

Also, Hold function and press “down” until you get to "slice"mode. Then record your slices in real time record mode.
