Not sure how to do this right, apparently!
[mod edit: just paste YT link with no extra space and ensure there’s a new line before and after, it should work]
Thank you @LyingDalai

Thank you @LyingDalai
I was wondering why nobody post MORCHEEBA before you did !
Bowery electric (is it triphop?) i love it!
Breath From Another was on constant repeat when it first came out. Such a complete work from front to back. Unfortunately her other album(s?) didn’t speak to me as much.
IIRC the guy who produced BFA didn’t work on her other albums.
Yeah I agree. Her other stuff is very hit or miss and unfortunately, more often than not, miss.
The producer of breath from another is Doc McKinney. He went on to produce a bunch of other stuff. He worked on the weeknds first couple mixtapes which are the only thing of his I really care for.
I suppose early the weeknd could also be considered a trip hop type thing that sits in the aesthetic of this thread.
Their DJ Kicks entry was insane when I heard it for the first time. Really holds up!
Man…been looking for this one for ages…loved them. Thanx
Spanish/latin flavor of triphop/downtempo:
My favourites from back in the day…
People have already posted most of my faves…
I’m surprised this genre sort of disappeared from the cultural conversation. It was sort of replaced by watered down ‘downtempo’ lounge music like you hear in cheesy boutiques.
But some of the albums are still incredible to revisit.
Cool thread & great content! Here is my contribution:

Some truly amazing stuff in this thread
Yes, maybe it doesn’t know to mutate or evolve.
Anyway, massive attack, tricky or bonobo, still there.
