Some QPER settings get saved with the Kit, so save a new Kit for each Pattern you want to have different QPER states.
ah, thanks!!! cool… i missed this!
What Elektron is saying…
Hi OX,
I am not allowed to comment on our future plans, unfortunately. What I can say is that we of course also want an update for the Analog Rytm MKII.
Kind Regards,
P. - Elektron
so lets talk more about things we would need to change, otherwise it will never happened…
I’ve found this video in another thread, never seen it before today, it’s quite old but damn it’s the best demo I’ve ever seen of the synth engines, and even though it’s mk1 version in the video obviously everything translates to mk2 as well…
so while we hope for an update, a gentle reminder that AR is a beast of a machine!
chords with impulse?? whaaat??
I’d like to see the compression visualization on the mk2 like the mk1 and digitakt have.
I remember that one.
That update, and the conditional trigs update to the OT are constant reminders that Elektron is willing to deliver a lot in updates.
At the time people were just waiting on a “Ring Mod” kick drum, and we got all those new drums and Dual VCO.
The OT got fills and conditional trigs when it seemed Elektrons stance on OT update was that it was complete.
As far as I can tell, each current machine still has black spaces for parameter additions
It would be good to have confirmation however based on precedent I’d say it’s unlikely to have any kind of official announcement on it.
I would be a bit surprised if it were a technical limitation but perhaps there simply isn’t enough processing headroom to provide an extra 12 LFO’s - hard to know how tight everything is!
It took a couple of years to add the second LFO to the Digitakt, but the the Digis have less modulation options so maybe it was seen as high priority, as the RYTM has 12 performance macros which are additional modulation sources.
I’d say it seems unlikely at this point, personally - the RYTM has been out for 9 years after all.
Just like Rytm MK1 was promoted as sampler and can not record samples…
Then MK2 was launched…
Happy with erica synths for now, i’ll wait to the new elektron platform until new units are on my list.
İf they Let lfo’s to modulate other channels it would be amazing aswell
The entitlement here is gross.
I agree it would be nice to have; I’d use it all the time… but Elektron don’t owe me anything once I’ve bought the instrument (unless it’s faulty and within warrantee).
Maybe it’s entitled… but it still feels a bit shit when Analog Rytm Mk2 and Digitakt came out around the same time and one keeps getting all the updates. I would expect the machine which cost twice the price to get the same treatment as the other. I don’t think it’s too much to ask for a machine at this price point. Dual VCO came out in 2018. A second LFO is not too much to ask.
lmao it’s so funny:
- WHY THE DIGIS DON’T HAVE ANALOGS FEATURES (slides, kits, individual outs, etc.)
- WHY ARE THE ANALOGS DON’T HAVE DIGIS FEATURES (second lfos, bw filters, etc.)
the way I see it - when you bought the machine you had it’s detailed specs, everything beyond the specs is a great EXTRA addition, do you really expect an official explanation why something that’s not on the specs list and never was is not implemented?
if it’s bumming you out so much maybe sell it and get something else that will suite your style more? and if the things you want will ever be implemented get it again?
don’t get me wrong, I would love a level up for the AR but c’mon, demanding explanations and feeling like it’s a “fuck you”? ain’t it a bit too much?
and to finish with a meme for good mood
their will be an update, as i sad. support already confirmed it!
start to think about what to change…
maybe they are working on a clap verison of overbridge?
I guess i read it as two possibilities:
- We want to update Rytm and we will. We’re telling you to get you excited and spread the word unofficially.
- We want to update Rytm BUT it’s not going to happen. We’re only telling you this because we want you to know we fought for it, but it wasn’t possible.
Possibility 3
Bunte Panther is stirring up the rabble in this thread and having a laugh.
Here’s hoping it’s real, though…
I read it as “company policy prohibits I say anything so I’m not going to confirm either way. But understand there are people here who want it too.” which is still not a confirmation or denial.
They very very specifically did not confirm that an update will be released. In their email they literally said " we do not comment on upcoming plans" meaning that they will not commit to saying that they are updating the rytm. You saying “they confirmed that they are updating the rytm” is exactly the reason why they will not make comments about upcoming hardware or software. Any off the cuff comment gets interpreted as a promise. Just as you have interpreted their desire to update the rytm with a promise that they will update the rytm.
Support E-mail:
“I am not allowed to comment on our future plans, unfortunately. What I can say is that we of course also want an update for the Analog Rytm MKII.”
and once again… it could be anything…
i never started this thread to do any kind of anger to someone…
i am just interrested in other idear´s
and i think it could be also an update for the overbridge side… .clap or what ever… or other nice features.
do anybody thinks elektron dont lookup into this thread? (clickbait)
i shared it, take it or leave it sweethards
an update could be anything… and i promise, they will update something…
… i dont care, if or not…
i would buy also MK3
… who cares…
and nobody will care what we are talking about here, if we dont have good points or any kind of value we deliver, what features we want, for any good reason…
… they will update it, they will make an mk3, they will step further, with this thread or without it
peezzzz!! :*
Totally, and I would add that this kind of “it’s only fair to give us updates even though nothing is broken” is probably the kind of feedback that leads companies to switch to the HELLISH subscription-based business model.
