Apparently some of the preset were made by Richard Devine
yes, saw it on his fb.
no surprise, i have the impression he does presets for almost any product that is released these days
I was interpreting @khaled’s comment as some top of the range tongue-in-cheek japes… to be honest, I don’t why Richie’s preset’s are so prevalent as he generally does pretty much the same thing to everything - hunners of modulation and pushing things to the limit. I wish he would calm down a bit at times…
Anyway, I really don’t need to be buying any additional gear as I’ve got too much new stuff of late and I’m especially we serviced for delays… but I just can feel that Valhalla will be their usual easy to use with some nice tricks up it’s sleeve and sounding phenomenal…
I honestly have no idea what that means
I neither like or dislike Richard Devine, he does what he does that’s it… I do however have him on FB and instgram, he’s videos are the closest thing to gear porn in my opinion lol
Another timely reminder for me to be a bit clearer about what I’m saying rather than using distinctly local slang terms. Basically, I thought you were making a pretty good joke about how often he is making presets.
haha no please do, I enjoy learning new slang
I really love the delay. Very clear interface and very easy to get great delays. All the modes sound awesome!
Gear Pron? Naww man, LudoWic is the ultimate in that category
I have to admit that was a dont-even-turn-your-brain-on instabuy. Damn, I love delays, and that Valhalla guy is a genius when it comes to DSP coding.
this is an excellent processor. really great delay and capable of so much more. i was part of the 2nd round (i think?) of beta testers so i’ve had the pleasure of using it for quite a while and it’s become indispensable.
it’s really quite amazing and at $50 is just a no brainer. it doesn’t have all the modulation stuff some other delays have but it is easy to automate and to me sounds so rich and textural. it’s brilliant. the way to various modes and styles and eras interact w/together makes it such a great sound design tool.
it sounds great on everything.
Confirmed: this plugin rocks. Hard. Must resist temptation to slather it all over everything.
TOPD: Do Dub Techno. There, you are allowed to splash delay on everything.
Confirmed
Super fun
little play around with the reverse pitch mode
Damn Sean Costello really knows how to demo his wares.
That sounds really nice, the dry pattern has a weird off-kilter vibe to it and then when you bring the mix up it just smears into really beautiful ambience. Any thought that I might have had that I wasn’t going to buy this straight-away was really just an exercise in self-deception.
I also asked myself if i really need another delay plugin. but the valhalla stuff is just fantastic. and for that price…
what‘s an off-kilter vibe?
I only use Valhalla plug-ins, haha
He did the popcorn preset on my microwave. Pretty solid. Around 80% pop rate, and never any burnt kernals.
