An old post initiated by De wouzer on the topic of understanding synthesis came into my feed a few weeks back. It turns out that it started almost a year ago. But never the less, it inspired my to share one way that has helped my understanding of sound design and synthesis.
Language is learning is understanding. By visualizing sound I create a way of talking about sound. Being able to talk about sound helps me understand synthesis. In this video I give examples of how I use tools that visualize sound and how those tools help me gain a better understanding of synthesis and sound design.
So - thanks De wouzer for the inspiration.
