More fun with the Volca Sample!
Audio out from the Volca Sample goes into the Octatrack. But no processing is done.

awesome video! really nice sounds there.
Nice. I just picked one up and it plays really well with the elektron way of doing things (I’m using with the Ak and monomachine). Using the ribbon to slide between patterns instantly is great fun. Of all of the volcas (I’ve had the other three but eventually traded them), this one is the most playable and also has much more depth then the other 3 IMO. Obviously the analog sound of the other ones is where their power lies but for a groovebox sampler this things couldn’t be cooler for a $160… I’ve just been using the factory samples to this point but will fool around with the iphone transfer app in the next couple of days. It looks straightforward enough and it’s not that big of a deal to me that you can’t sample direct to it. It’s weird to me that they don’t have an IPAD version of the app yet as it seems like that would be be the first one they roll out considering more musicians would already use ipads in their rigs as opposed to the smaller devices.
I wish it came with a pc-version (and or mac, for those people)
or midi sample-dumps… (like ar or machinedrum)
no fancy phone here… no ipads… the misses has an android tablet, but hates me when I use it.
and I will not buy one either… especially if I only use it to upload samples in a machine that costs less then the tablet…
lots of I’s in this story… so lets tag it as #my_opinion, doesn’t mean that its for the good of the world, its just to satisfy my own needs.
hooray,
thank you baddcr
