What to buy with the leftover 100-300€

Real 1st world problem here, beware!

So my girl, family and friends really spoiled me on my 40th birthday. I bought myself the Peak and now have a 30€ Thomann Giftcard and some cash over.

I want to use the Gift card and can add cash, but I need inspiration. What better place to ask than here. So, anybody got an idea of cool things to buy? Just let it out. Wouldnt mind getting inspired in a direction I hadnt expected.

Maybe this sounds a bit „square“ but why don‘t you save the money and add a bit on top until you have some more to buy some new shiny stuff that will come up after the next Superbooth aka the better synth show ? imho.

Of course if the money burns a hole in your pocket here is a nice inspirational link

Have fun with your Peak :sunglasses::love_you_gesture:

Sounds like you don’t need any more instruments. I’d look at some creative FX pedals. Two of my current favourites are the Meris Polymoon and the Boss DC-2w.

Here’s some Polymoon on Peak…

Korg Volca Drum?

Midi Solutions Quadra Thru was one of the smallest, yet best purchases I ever made. You may already have that area covered though.

What about decor for your music area?

Behringer TD3?

Red panda Particle?

Another vote for Soma Ether from me.

Depending on what you already have, of course, but if you’re into experimental sounds and have an Octatrack, for example, Soma Ether is a nice little gadget. So a third vote for that. Another thing is FX pedals.

Microfreak is also an option.

Or, if you don’t have it already, a Keystep (pro?)
Or a bigger keyboard, even !

Holy crap! Really cool ideas already.
I watched a video of the PO KO, was from cuckoo. awesome little thing. I really liked what he did with it. I never actually looked at the pocket things as they seem like toys. will have to check them out more and see if they can fit in to my kind of workflow and space. nice, for this one.

the soma ether seems cool, but I think a little too experimental for my style. I was thinking about if it could add something to my music, make it more organic. I have not given up that thought yet. Going new ways is always good.

the idea of saving the money is also a good option. you never know whats coming next.

the polymoon is nice, but maybe a bit over budget.

Korg volcas are all covered by other gear. thanks for the idea though.

I have a quadra thru. needed it to hook up more synths to my octatrack as not all have thru. I also see it as a good purchase.
decor? hmmm. maybe. its all clean and messy right now. hope you are not thinking about a lava lamp :yum:

I have been eyeing the microfreak for so long now. I have been on off on it because it seems so much bang for the buck. will have to see if I still lust it when the peak finally arrives. if so, its definately an option.

cool ideas so far! you guys rock. wait, lets change that, its 2020. you guys EDM!

I would wait for the 2HP lunchbox to come out:

Any idea of price for these yet?

Microfreak is awesome fun. Worth it!

You´d be suprised what comes out if you add a few layers of FX. Especially with something like this:

And on top of that you´ll hear your environment with new ears
I used it for a walk through a small forrest recently and just for fun held it against a tree and suddenly I was listening to a french radio station while being in southwest Germany. (weirdly this also worked on dead tree trunks laying on the floor)

All depends what is put in the case. I heard at NAMM between 300EU and 1300EU, so it can vary a bit

If you don’t need anything, don’t buy anything man

Or use the money to take them out to dinner!
