I think you misread it. It’s the genuine first prototype they made for what became the SidStation. Hence the care being taken. It’s their history

this. it was the university project of Daniel Hansson, one of the Elektron founders. probably close to 25 years old now.

…that’s with no doubt a legacy / museum casing for the prototype one of the sidstation…
one last batch of comodore sound chips 8 bit arcade pleasure was available back then on the whole planet…
and two swedish nerds pitched this to some swedish bank accountants…that way they got their first money to found elektron…yeah…bought that last batch of cult circuits and rest is history…
more than two decades ago…
