What's the diamond symbol mean in the load screens?

For example, I’m looking at the new blood project, there are kits that have the convention like this

03 WASH <>

Some don’t have the diamond…

Seems like all the empty kits have it…

What’s it mean?

EDIT:
Ok, this is weird… while I was looking at the load screen, the diamonds MOVE! The diamond was on kit 8, then as I was watching, it left kit 8, a diamond popped up on another kit…

Weird…

Ahhh, that makes sense! I’ve not really read the sample section as I don’t use samples, but it must be the same for kits, etc.
