Why did Yamaha drop their groovebox products?

RS7000 and ESX was my workhorse live rig for 4+ years… killer combo.

Given it a bit of a wipe over. It could do with a strip down as there’s dust behind the screen but it’s come up well with some wipes, a microfibre cloth and a load of elbow grease!

Just like the one you used to own?

I beg to differ.

I have owned Yamaha electronic musical gear. I have owned Yamaha motorcycles. I have loved them all.

It was always my dream to own a Yamaha synth/keyboard/groovebox with the same product number as one of their motorcycles.

Sadly, Yamaha is also efficient. No crossover products except for the G1 grand piano and the G1 scooter.

meh…

Of course, I could cheat a bit and find myself a Tenori-On and a Tenere 700.

Not quite there but both products are totes adorbs.
