Why is triggered note different from note played on keybd?

i’m trying to make a sequence, but after setting my triggers to different notes on the mini keyboard, i notice that the playback is several steps off.

i have all the tracks transposed -4 if that makes any difference…

i don’t have this problem on say pattern A1, but on A2…

If transpose is enabled, triggered notes are transposed, not the ones you press on the mini keys. You can press transpose + yes to apply the transpose, keep the sequence as is and the mini keys will play and trigger the same notes.

so say i want to

  1. make a sequence

  2. copy the sequence and, say, transpose it up 4 steps - effectively just functioning as a key change in the song…

can i transpose just a single track at a time, or will it always affect the 4 tracks ?

if i can pull this off successfully it’ll be super-useful in songwriting, especially with the use of arps.

Hold transpose button and select/deselect tracks for transposing.
