Why won't Digitakt Respond to midi notes above B4?

Digitakt is first and foremost a sampler. I find it quite frustrating the audio tracks will only respond only to the lower range of the midi keyboard (0-59). For reference, Korg Electribes have always had the ability to receive and transmit all 128 notes of the midi range.

I would like to sequence leads on my digitakt, but it seems this is not allowed by the “Elektron way”…

A lot of people, myself included will load multiple octaves of the same sample to get a fuller range of playable octaves. The digitakt has its base note as c3 so what I do is load samples tuned to c1, c3, c5, c7. I load then in as seperate samples some do it as a sample chain.
