Wrong note plays?

anyone else see any weirdness with some midi notes playing incorrectly?

simple setup:
OT midi out, into irig midi connected to ipad
ipad audio out to thru machine on OT

If I am in chromatic mode on OT everything plays perfectly fine, I go into live recording mode, play a melody (it sounds while playing)…when the cycle comes around it will play two notes the same…for example instead of C and a B it will just play C C…if I chick the trig locks it shows the correct note…I’ve adjusted length note thinking that could be an issue but that doesn’t solve it either…checked that no LFOs, transposing, or arps are changing anything

You sure about the arp? I had a very similar issue when I first got the OT and took a while to realise the arp had a scale set on it. No arp pattern was playing but it still changed the input note when recording to keep things in key.

yeah, I double checked everything, like I said it would play out normally, arp was completely off and there wasn’t an arp sequence set, I power cycled the OT and the next time around it seemed to work…really weird…I will see if it happens again

I’m having the same issue. However I’ve turned my Octatrack off and then on again and the issue hasn’t resolved.

The Octatrack should be sending midi note 52 (E) but instead sends note 51 (D#) despite the sequencer saying it’s sending an E. When I play the note I want in chromatic mode it plays just fine. As soon as it’s left to the sequencer it plays the wrong note even though the trig says the note I want.

I’ve checked the transpose in the arp is set to 0. LFO’s aren’t affecting anything either.

Anyone know a fix?

With the arp off, transpose, legato and the arp scale still affect the midi track.

Zero lfos with function + knob turn to make sure it’s really at 0 / check in a trig mode that displays numerical values if everything is zeroed out.

Not sure what else would cause the OT to send wrong midi notes.

Any midi messages coming in that could affect OTs behaviour?
