A4/AK knobs response curve

Been trying to persuade myself it isn’t a problem on my AK But the existing knob options of ‘smooth/super fine, turn it a million times to achieve a full sweep of parameter’ or ‘push encoder and (audibly) step through values’ sucks. I just hate the way it feels. Please someone tell me there’s a DIY or external controller fix? I just want the knobs to behave/react like every other synth in the world and feel expressive in an accurate way. I’ve tried to get on with it but if I can’t find a way to make the UI feel more direct I’m selling and buy the Dominion 1 that I probably should have grabbed in the first place…sure I’ll miss the 4 separate tracks and probably grab an A4 at some point but for now I just want something that ‘feels’ fun/expressive…

Edit - obviously the easy solution would be for elektron to add a ‘knobs behave normally’ option in settings… But I’ve not heard any rumour of this being considered. Please add it Elektron!

I am questioning whether to go back to MKI because of this.

The response of these knobs is awful.

How anyone can accept controls where the value doesn’t line up with the physical position is baffling. Where you end up depends upon how fast you go, as an unnecessary luxury so you don’t have to actually turn the knob all the way to get singular drastic changes. Even though there already was a way to do that before … holding the knob down. You have to watch the screen and do guesswork.

Not to mention the lag.
