A4 - Controlling External Velocity Using MIDI vs. CV Out

I have an MKI which I have finally updated to the latest OS. Now I am exploring how to use the A4 to sequence external hardware. I’ve made some good progress on that, but am a bit stuck on figure out the best way ‘spice’ up these sequence using other functions.

  1. What is the ‘correct’ or ‘best’ way to control the velocity of hardware notes I am sequencing externally from the A4?

  2. Are there any significant differences for controlling external velocity if I connect using MIDI vs. the CV outs?
