just got an used A4 and feeling the much difference between the encoder on the Digitakt. As I need to get my screen replacement, I was wondering if a replacement of the encoders will make it the scrolling similar to the speed of the Digitakt?

not likely - sounds like you might have the A4 Mk1 which has actual encoders, the Digitakt uses endless potentiometers
but even if you compared two devices with endless potentiometers the firmware can vary across devices - even within ONE device - there’s a world of scrolling speeds within many individual Elektrons
Replacing old encoders may be prudent if you account for shipping etc and doing it in one go - but it won’t affect what you are discussing unless they are clearly malfunctioning

If you have a screen issue as well as an encoder issue you could email elektron support and state the problems. They may provide you with the actual specific parts (at cost) or you may have an option of buying the complete UI board to replace all of those malfunctioning components this way. Worth a try. It does sound like you may just have a screen issue though, and there are lots of threads on here discussing how this can be replaced on the existing UI board if you go that route.
yes it’s more a screen issue. it’s starts off faded at the sides but get slightly better after some use. I still have yet to give the knob screen contrast adjustment at the side. The encoders are working well just that the difference in scrolling when I twerk the digitakt at the same time. feels like the A4 is twerk at half time and digitakt at 32nd or 64th speed. 
Come to think of it, maybe it’s better this way, I noticed that the twerk sounds on the A4 can get quite drastic. So maybe this is better.
There is definitely a difference in how they behave to get used to, but I cannot assist with that, I only own Mk1 gear.
