A4 MKii freezes on boot

I’m now on my second A4 MKii.
Sent the first one back after it stopped booting. Just freezes on the firmware/boot screen. (The first one also had a faulty LED)

I’ve had this second one for about a month and same issue. Freezes on boot.
I got it booted after restarting a dozen times, in order to back everything up.

I love this machine, really do. But damn, is there some kind of quality control issues with Elektron?
I’m sure Sweetwater will send me another one, but how many is it going to take before I don’t get another lemon?

Do you have the latest software version 1.50a installed? This was a known bug and the latest software version fixed the problem.

I’ve owned or do own 7 elektrons at this point with no issues. You must have really bad luck or there may be an issue with power in your room?

I just flashed to a legacy FW version and then re-flashed 1.50A and rebooted several times. Seems ok now, but I guess I’ll just keep an eye on it.

So weird.

The latest version 1.50a solved the problem for me. :slightly_smiling_face:
Little stress at each start but everything is ok … :upside_down_face:
