A4 Performance Mixer Affects Two Tracks at Once?

Hi, just starting with the A4 but I find something strange and no documentation about it: when using the mixer it automatically links the currently focused track with whatever track I’m mixing. So for example if I’m on track 1 and mix track 4 it will raise and lower volume for both track 1 and 4 simultaneously. Apparently this means I have to be very cautious about what track is focused when I’m mixing. Is this correct?? I would have thought the mixer would simply mix each track independently?

Thanks!

Any midi loopback?
Same behavior without midi plugged ?

(I oftently use midi loopback to control several tracks on Elektron gear, setting several tracks on the same channel).

Yes! That was it exactly. Thank you! I knew that couldn’t possibly be default behavior haha.

…performance “mixer” worx always the way U set up ur performance macros…

check ur performance macros in the manual and see, how even one single knob could affect all four tracks and some fx and some various lfo settings at ONCE if U wish them to do so…

Controls tracks Level. Not related to macros.

:content: Btw before reading your OG post I was playing/setting 11 tracks of Syntakt from 1 track, with midi loopback. No freeze…

…ooops…means in all those years using the a4, i never stumbled over that performance mixer…that’s soooo elektron…
