I feel a new live 3 will need substantial i/o to compete. I’m talking midi, cv and usb.
What did they change on the scale feature?
A way to record multiple takes of a single part of the composition. Then stitch them together into a single track.
Like how most pop vocals are not all done in one take. They’re multiple takes, with the best takes of each section combined to make one track.
No more midi editing in the dark. Scale modes will highlight
A clip can also have a scale display flats instead of sharps … such a little thing but I’m really looking forward to it. One can also fold a clip to view just notes in the scale on the pianoroll if you wish.
Such a simple idea, will be so useful in practice
Kinda like gadget on iPad then?
I’m like Sinatra.
If my synth noodling isn’t spot on at the first take, then the song ain’t worth it.
Old school rules, no cop-outs, or “comping”, as the kids say
Joking, of course. Lobster hands.
While Live isn’t limiting it at all, historically comping is mostly used by vocalists.
i can’t wait to abuse spectral resonator with voices
on some kanye / bon iver shit
This is actually tempting me back to Ableton… sold my licence at V8, used Ableton from v3-8. Some exciting stuff in this one, midi comping is huge one for me and mpe too.
Anyone know when this 20% offer ends? Need some time to think it over… looking at suite edition
Usually lasts the run of the beta. Official release isn’t until ‘early 2021’ so u should be good till then. Ableton usually flag the expiration of the deal also…
I remember last time they offered full refunds on the pre-orders. Is that a thing this time? I actually took advantage of that once, full refund no questions asked
Is there any indication yet whether Live 11 will still support the Push 1?
Sign up for emails and they will give you a warning when promos are about to end
Glitchy change ups here we come!
You know what? I’ve never considered this before for some reason and have only used it on vocals in other DAWs in the past. But, going absolutely bananas with Ctrl-All a few times over, then stitching all of the best bits together is
Exactly!!! This definitely opens my mind to all kinds of foolishness!
