Just went to the website to purchase the suite 11 update for my new MacBook.
Sweetwater isn’t selling Ableton products anymore. Surprising to me.
Yeah, that’s odd.
Same in Canada at Long & McQuade. Shortly before the pandemic, Ableton moved to being their own distributor of their products, and somewhere along the way, all of their boxed software and downloads disappeared. The only Ableton product left is Push 2.
To be fair, boxed copies of software were not big sellers, and downloads were not any better. It was probably a bigger expense to continue maintaining physical copies through a distributor, etc than just managing it all in house.
