I was wondering if anyone could help me out copying a technique shown in this video. The 707 is sending a non-standard tempo so that the Juno can get a different arp pattern; the example is New Order Blue Monday.
Thanks!

You can modify the arp pattern by going into the arp setup (FUNC+ARP).
Set RNG to 1.
De-activate/activate steps as desired.
Hold a note to hear your pattern!
using the arp is good if you then sequence the arp’s pattern, but not so good if you’re triggering the arp live – the A4’s arp retriggers on note-on, so unless your playing is super tight, timing can get a bit wonky.
for something similar to the video you posted (using the blue monday example) it’s probably best to forget the arp and program the 4-step pattern in the A4’s sequencer itself, and use its transpose lock function to live-transpose the pattern with the keys on the A4/AK
thanks! @glitched that helped, just adjusted the arp pattern to 3 on 1 off then set the spd to 6 with a tempo of 130 and its close enough to get me going.
appreciate that!
