Akai MPX16 midi implementation

Curious if anyone here has any experience with Akai’s MPX 8 or 16. If so, is there a midi implementation chart somewhere online or in print?

I’m interested in buying one and sequencing from the OT, but I can’t figure out if it receives CC messages; which would be a dealbreaker if it can’t.

Judging from the manual it only sends and receives MIDI Note messages. I don’t have one so I could be entirely wrong.
