Algorithms changing on their own?

I’m trying to use a Moog Matriarch as a midi controller to play the Digitone. It works as expected the only thing is that after pressing a certain number of keys the algorithm on the digitone will change. This does not happen when using other midi controllers. It only does this with the Matriarch. I don’t know much about midi but I originally suspected that the the Matriarch might be sending programs changes to the digitone so I went into the global settings and made sure all of that was turned off. I really don’t understand program changes so that probably has nothing to do with my problem.

I counted how many notes I could play before it changes and I got 84. So every 84 notes the algorithm changes which changes the overall sound of the patch. This is super annoying. What is causing this and how can I fix it.

I tried to post on the moog forum but its down right now.

If you’re only using the Moog to play notes and not control any of the the DN’s parameters, try turning off Receive CC/NRPN in the midi config menus on the DN.

Thanks so much! This seems to have solved my problem.

Awesome. The Moog must be sending out a rogue CC for some reason. Glad you got it working!

Edit: no pun intended by using the word ‘rogue’ btw
