Amp envelope retriggers on same key regardless of settings?

Can’t seem to get my Digitone to play a single note polyphonically? Like the amp envelope retriggers and cuts out the sound regardless of the amp retrig settings? is it not actually polyphonic?

I assume you have AENR set to Off on the Amp page? How many voices do you have assigned to the track? It’s the button that looks like the lips. Should show you something like D(8). D for dynamic as opposed to a number for a static set for that track and the number in the () s to indicate how many voice are available.

Yeah I’m just using one voice, cant seem to get a chord or one note to loop seamlessly without restarting.

Single notes will always cut themselves off, rather than layering another voice of the same note on top. I agree it’s a strange one, especially since other polysynths don’t act that way, but apparently there was a reason for it.

That’s really weird that it doesn’t rotate the voices! Even the manual makes it sound like it should?

Maybe it’s a sequencer thing? haven’t tried with externally sequencing it but that’s kind of the whole point of having an elektron… anyone have any tips for looping pads or drones?

If you’re trying to sustain a chord or note past the 64 steps of a track without it being retriggered, you can use a conditional trig of “1st” and set Hold to INF.

Edit: To add to this; while I don’t know specifically how to make drones (and I love them and WANT to know) note that the reverb has an infinite a release setting which works well for drones. In my tinkerings over the last 6 weeks with the Digitone, I’ve found the above settings with subtle LFO modulation of SYN 1 Harmonics and pitch to produce some nice stuff.

I’m sorry everyone I solved the problem, I didn’t see the AMP ENV reset option in the second page on AMP labeled AENR, and thought the only reset was in Syn2 page 2, working as I thought now  Hope this helps someone in the future
