Analog Four mk2 reload

I’ve read the manual and watched videos but I can’t figure it out-

On the digitakt/tone if you function+yes you save the pattern, and no matter how much you mangle it up hitting func + no takes it all back to the save state. I love doing it mid song.

I can’t figure out how to do it on the A4 mk2. Can it even be done? There’s save pattern and kit but those don’t seem to do it for me. Is there an equivalent command on the Four?

10.5.1 RELOAD PATTERN
Reload the active pattern. It will either be reloaded to its auto-saved state or a specific saved state set by the SAVE PATTERN command. Press [NO] + [PTN] for a short cut to the RELOAD PATTERN command.

When I did that nothing happened, and I’m not sure why. I’ll keep messing around and try to figure out what I’m doing wrong. Thanks for the response!

works on ARmk2 fwiw, the A4mk1 has no dedicated Ptn button, so it’s different to your MKii

The shortcut [NO] + [PATTERN] to reload a pattern works on the MK1 as well.

Since pattern data and sound data (kit) are stored separately it depends what you want to reload.

When you have mangled the sound => [NO]+[KIT] reloads the kit.
When you have mangled the trigs => [NO]+[PTN] reloads the pattern.

But: Make sure to reload before switching to another pattern otherwise you cannot reload anymore (because the A4 auto-saves when switching patterns).

Addendum for clarity: By “auto-save” I mean it modifies the RAM content in a way so that you cannot simply reload the pattern to go back to the previous state.

But unless you’ve triggered a manual save, the content on the +drive doesn’t get touched. So you still can get back to the previous state by reloading the whole project again (not pretty, especially in a live situation).

It’s kinda weird that the shortcut is [NO]+[PTN] and not the other way round, just like the Digitakt’s [FUNC]+[NO].

Also, on the Analog Four MK2, when you have mangled the performance macros => [PERF]+[NO] puts them back to 0. Which is useful when you have mangled the sound parameters and then the macros, and eventually want to go back to that previous state (not the original state).
