I’m sending clock to my A4 via a Motu Midi Express Audio interface. The midi signal is inconsistent and results in everything getting completely out of sync. When sending 100BPM from Logic to the A4, I can hit the Tempo button on my analog four I can see the BPM varying between 96bpm-101 BPM.
Using an M1 Mac, Logic Pro X, and I have Clock Mode set to Pattern-Quantized Clock Start Based On Pattern Length in my Logic project settings
In general, clocking hardware from DAW’s can be somewhat unreliable, but maybe someone else around here else has some tips to help with that. I was watching a Ricky Tinez video recently and he was saying that clocking via Overbrige was much more stable, so you may want to give that a shot. And then there are hardware solutions like the E-RM Multiclock, but that Is going to cost a bit.
This might sound strange, but have you tried multiple MIDI cables? Not all MIDI cables are created equal.
