Hello there, I have an AK in the studio that used to work fine, I could clearly hear the sounds via overbridge. Since some days however all I get is very low level hum, hiss and the faintest sound of the preset.
I have done a blank and a factory reset, did the error check mode (0 errors) and tried using it via headphones and overbridge. The weird thing is the AK metronome come out loud and clear, as does the Ableton Metronome when the AK is selected as an audio interface… has anyone faced this problem?
Seems to me like it may have gotten a MIDI CC7 volume level to 1 for all patches or something but for the life of me I can’t figure it out… Any help much appreciated!
Check the Kit tab in OB. Are the outs routed only to FX?
You can try the auto calibration test or voice calibration in the test mode (should be “hold function when turn on the machine”), I had a similar problem with my mk 1 and this fixed it
check the OB control panel too - main L/R might be disabled
No this is set correctly thank you
I would like like to do this but I don’t have a calibration option when turning on while holding “Function”? Where dirs one callibrate the Analog Keys?
Wait up. Did you accidentally hit the “MIDI Ext” button above the joystick.
Try tapping it off/on.
I didn’t know that, lucky me i was following the direction from Elektron support. He told me that it was the ultimate thing to try before sending the unit to them if i recall correctly.
Elektron support was super fast and helpful, but thought I may need to send it in… figured I had nothing to lose so I did a Oscillator calibration, and voila, it s working again! Just in case for anyone else finding this thread. I did these steps:
- Startup while holding FUNC
- Error check (0 errors)
- Empty reset
- Factory reset
- Go to the Global Menu > System > Calibration
