Analog Keys and Modular Input Level

Hi folks,
I would like to connect the audio from my modular directly to my AK.

Reading the manuals:
AK Unbalanced audio inputs:

  • Input level: +19 dBu maximum
  • Audio input impedance: 9 kΩ
  • Digital S/N ratio: 102 dBFS (20-20.000 Hz)

Octatrack Mk1 Unbalanced audio inputs:

  • Input LEVEL: +8 dBu maximum
  • Audio input impedance: 9 kΩ
  • SNR inputs: 99 dBFS (20-20.000 Hz)

Octatrack Mk2 Balanced audio inputs:

  • Input level: +17 dBu peak
  • Audio input impedance: 21 kΩ
  • Digital S/N ratio: 106 dB (20–20,000 Hz)

There was a thread explaining that full modular range is in the low 20ies dBu, if I remember correctly (can’t find it right now).
So this would mean, the AK should accept modular levels directy without big problems.

Am I wrong here?
Would I risk to blow my AK by connecting modular directly to AK?

Get an Erica Synths Link module and you’ll be set

Or get mini jack to regular jack cables. The A4/AK can deal with modular levels just fine in any case.

It’s no risk, it’s great

Ok, 2:1, seems legit

Thanks guys.
