Analog Keys doesnt work on Mac

Hi everyone, I’m new here. I just bought the analog keys (second hand) . I’m trying to make a backup of all the sounds and kits so I can then safely format. The computer reads the AK but I can’t connect the synth via Transfer. The connecting message appears with the red square but it never turns green.I have tried to reboot both the computer and the AK but nothing changes.
Has anyone experienced a similar problem?

Have you made sure that the AK is set to receive midi via usb?

Make sure you are using the Elektron USB cable or a high quality short A-B cable.

The long cables that came with my Blue Microphone and Virus TI have never worked with the A4 or AK.

And check that you have both AK and Transfer latest version…

Looks like your AK Version is below the current 1.51 (which is only support bigSur and higher).
Maybe someone from the elektronauts can push a nice tut for upgrade without using the mac transfer app

! EDIT
Try to change the USB config to USB Midi (not Overbridge) and take a look at the midi app from mac if the AK is listed?

Thank you! Yes I’ve just bought an officila Elektron USB cable. But the problem is the same

Maybe need to use C6 instead?

I have Mac OS High Sierra and I’ve downloaded Elektron Transfer app 1.4. Shall I updgrade the Elektron Analog Keys OS?

Yes, I did that in Global setting

What’s that? Is it a different transfer software? I would like to back the ‘Whole project’, form Elektron to Mac

I’m not 100% sure as I don’t have an A4/AK, but when I got my Rytm MK1 I had to use C6 to update the OS before I could use Transfer. It is Elektron’s older software before they introduced Transfer.

High Sierra supports Transfer 1.4 so I guess it is safe to use… if you have an older version you can rename it to Transfer 1.3 or whatever and have both versions at the same time. And then you can try to upgrade to the highest version for the AK
