Analog Rytm as mixer

Hey,
I’ve been using OT mk2 as my mixer for a while - samples, stereo synth into AB, vocals into C, thinking about a guitar pedal FX loop via Cue out into D.

Could the AR do something similar, since it has 2 ext in and 2 audio in (can’t tell what the difference is there)?
I know the A4 can route external inputs to its FX easily, but that has only two of them, so for me it’s not enough to use as a mixer.

Ext In doesn’t go through any FX (goes straight to compressor which is last stage before main out).

Audio in is only for sampling.

So in other words, not usable as a mixer at all. Thanks

It makes a nice summing mixer for a DAW.
8 channels from the DAW, can be run through the RYTM’s analog circuitry and returned on main. So I wouldn’t say not usable as a mixer at all.

But not for what you had in mind, no. :upside_down_face:

Oh, so in fact very, very powerful, but… For something else.
Going dawless, the OT is basically the best choice

Bump - have any of the recent updates changed this for the Mk2? . . . Would love to use a cue out or something similar for guitar pedals
