Anyone has had this issue ever?
had something like that on my MBP Late 2010 couple of weeks ago. Turned the Rytm off, waited a few seconds and turned it back on. Issue was gone and - till now - didnt came back. I know, its not a real answer to your question but i just wanted to let you know that i had this too 
Im still on El Capitan on my MBP.
