The same can/will happen on new devices like mine… Very sad!
Same here. Completely fixed the problem.
What was the solution?
Basically, they send you a thin plastic sheet with square holes for the pad sensors that you need to position under the pads.
Thanks everyone for the advice; I opened a support ticket and they are going to send me the spacer, woohoo!
I got the pad spacer in the mail and installed it and the pad mutes work perfectly now, thanks Elektron support and everyone here at the forum!
The same here! Thanks Christian
i think its really cool they send you a pad spacer and actually engineered a solution to the problem but its still a bit rough that you have to do this with a 1500€ device in the first place.
It’s not usually this bad, but it happens often enough that I don’t want to try scene mode just yet.
Get the spacer, mine used to do this but the spacer fixed it 100%, i should have done it sooner.
But…
BE VERY CAREFUL WITH THE AMOUNT OF TENSION YOU PUT ON THE SCREWS WHEN PUTTING IT BACK TOGETHER AS YOU CAN JUST KEEP SCREWING AND SCREWING AND IT WILL JUST DAMAGE THE FRONT OF THE UNIT!!!
I paid no attention to the warning and created an indent in the front face which i have covered with a sticker…lucky I’m never ever ever selling it…
Thanks for the heads up! I’ll be careful with the screws.
I discovered a new feature: randomized mute states! (I already sent Elektron a support ticket)
brutal randomization
Do you have the film fix installed?
Not yet. I sent the support ticket on saturday, so I’m really hoping to get the film some time this week. At least if they send it from sweden
Surprising Synth.
Features otherwise only be found in modular noodle stuff!
HahahahJahajajajajjahahaj:rofl:
So I got the part, and it fixed the pad issues!
However, now a few of the buttons are touching the faceplate when pressed, and the retrig button can get stuck. Does anyone know how to put it back together without getting this?
edit: solved it by just loosening the screws on the PCB and making sure it was completely straight on before tightening again.
I bought a used grey Analog Rytm mk2 just recently and this thread has been useful indeed. My unit has the pad mute issue. I raised a ticket with Elektron support and within just a few hours they had replied and offered to repair the unit or just send me the parts for free in the post. I picked the latter. Hopefully I’ll fit the parts easily enough when they arrive.
I’m happy with the machine so far. It’ll be good to get it 100% sorted.
How did you solve this? I have this issue
