Again, not mine, but dope! That Tanzbar looks awesome.
Kotare that track of yours is awesome. Really cool sound, inspiring
Thanks - the acapella is from a friend who produces a great duo that he is in, Ladi6.
Nice track. Would that be Ladi6 from Chch, NZ?
Not mine

Thanks - the AR is not the box to solve all problems, neither is it the analog drum machine to kill all other analog drum machines.
It’s a little bitch, with a limited palette, the filter is very dominant, the timbre of the analog engines are a bit smeary when more than 2 are playing at once in a similar register, it lacks instant experimental satisfaction like the MD, and it’s sample capacity is extremely limited, but despite all that I am glad it’s here.
I am fortunate in that I have a job and I have good credit so I can pay it off, plus the stars aligned and, on the day I looked into getting one, the only store in Perth which sells these had just gotten their first one in (literally a few hours earlier), so I felt quite led to buy it.
If I didn’t have a job or the means to fork over so much cash for an analog box, and if I had to stretch to pay for it, I think I’d be disappointed TBH.
I would not really recommend it to most people. That is the first time I’ve ever come to this conclusion regarding an Elektron instrument, because I don’t think it does enough on it’s own - I can use it somewhere in a track, but I’d struggle to use it as a standalone, all-in-one machine.
I anticipate that I’ll use it more as a layer device, MIDI sync’d to DAW or OT, and adding beef or textures.
So how are you guys recording video with good audio? I recorded a vid with my iPhone but of course the audio is crap. I have a stereo TS to 1/8" male cable and plugged that into my iPhone, but it doesn’t pick it up; still uses the internal mic.
Are you guys using standalone video recorders/cameras? Are you syncing audio/video in post?
Yep, i record audio in ableton and video witm camcorder. Then use moviemaker to put them together.

Here is something I am working on…Quite simple on the percussion side of things so far with this one…
So, after knocking it a little bit the other day, I must admit that I am starting to understand this little bitch. The gain structure requires some care and some learning, as does the sonic manipulation and synthesis, which is quite different than any other Elektron boxes.
I had some fun with paired pads that mute (such as 4>3), LFOs, sliding trigs, and retrigs. I look forward to the swung retriggers - quantized triplets is a bit too honky for me
Also, with the missus on the AR while I try to keep up on the OT, some overdriven tabla perc stuff.
