Thank you for this! This vid helps me to learn the AR while I anticipate the arrival of my own! Cheers
Yes. Very nicely done. Like watching the manual with a killer soundtrack. Thanks very much.
I really enjoyed the video @Cuckoo - Iām navigating through my menus slightly different after watching your upload. Funny how a simple thing like menu navigation can change your whole work flow and creative process. Thanks!
my very first youtube vid ever, so please be kind
I liked it a lot. Itās nice to see something that has a Kraftwerk-esque vibe to it.
Are you recording into a digital recorder? Is that what I see on the desk there? If thatās true, how do you sync audio and video?

yes for recording I use my tascam dr 40 mobile recorder and for the video I use my samsung galaxy s2 with a handbuild stand ^^ because I have never made a yt video and have no experiences i googled a free video software (in my case: avidemux 2.6) and used this for minimal editing (like syncing) but I am not satisfied with the audio at allā¦so I have to do some tweaks. for a little demonstration itās ok i think
When you post videos you must be prepared for some people that arenāt going to be kindā¦trollsā¦etc etcā¦
The video was a bit out of sync, camera angle seeing knobs and screen would have been cool.
That being said, I enjoyed the fact that you didnāt film yourself dancing (not saying you were dancing), heheh, I never really like when people do that.
I thought the audio was fine and I really liked the musicā¦good job IMO.
hehe thank you for that! yes you are rightā¦the video isnt 100% sync to the audioā¦for syncing i tried to use my ālive playingā as an indicator. and yes I was kind of dancing (shaking headphone-plugs) and I tried to hide that fact about the camera: this was a big issue for me because I only have a normal smartphone without a proper stand or stativā¦so I had to build a kind of stand by myselfā¦(omg it looks ridiculous: an empty packaging of medicine filled with rice and toilet paper with a small opening for the smartphone and a stabilisation from an empty cd-cover :D:D:D) so you maybe need 3 proper cameras to have a nice angle and the 2 small screens in the picture (like the professional elektron demos) or to have one really good camera to film both devices and being able to have to additional pictures in the pictures with the cut out and zoomed in elektron screens (when this wording makes sense for anybody ^^). another issue: the autofokusing of the smartphone sucks! maybe someone have a advice for a cheap way to improve such youtube videos
hi guys, hereās my contributionā¦had the AR for almost a week now and this was the second time i managed to spend some proper time on it
what a great machine it is! and with the coming updates it can only get better i guess
one thing i would like to see improved is the switching between mute and scene/perf mode. a few times i wanted to quickly do some tweaking in either performance or scene mode and then mute/un-mute a track but the switching between modes slowed the all process down a bit, you need to be reeeeally fast
Oh yeah!
/Read this like āOh Yeah!ā from Daft Punk
One day it will be mineā¦ Oh yes it will!
Very glad to see all these vidz, keep it up!
Really like the sound character of the RYTMā¦
@Guga : internal distortion is it?
Cheers

the music is the most important part and I liked it
Iām in the same boat, donāt really have a good video recording set upā¦once the Zoom H5 comes out I will probably pick that upā¦may try to sync up some iphone video to the H5 and see how it turns out
As far as the dancing part, I didnāt actually see it in your videoā¦I donāt have a problem with the action, I think most of us move to our own beat when we have a good groove goingā¦I just donāt care to see a video of someone doing it hehehā¦Iām talking about those youtube videos where basically you canāt see the screen, you canāt really see the keys/buttons but you can see some dude moving all over the place like some clubāer
glad you like it
yep, only AR, no external effects
individual Outputs video demonstration pleaseee
Has to be one of the worse AR vidoes Ive seen so far. Not sure how he managed to make it sound so bad compared to other people.
Does anyone else feel the same given the other videos?
I even had a thought running through my head that he was paid by DSI

I didnāt think he was intentionally trying to make the AR sound bad. I just think that heās a lot more familiar with the Tempest. To be honest, I donāt think that the AR drums sounded bad; it was the bass synth that sounded bad. But thatās not really what the AR was designed to do. OTOH, the Tempest is a full-featured analog synth, which has a lot more range as a synthesizer than the AR does. Thatās the main difference between the two instruments. As others have said, the Tempest is a synthesizer that doubles as a drum machine. The AR is optimized to excel at drums. Itās more of a āpureā drum machine.
I really like that one, gives a good impressen of how good the AR will be for that heavy slow mo stuff like scorn/techno animalā¦
Damn, I need an AR, now!
yepā¦ grunge-y / crunchy
good stuff!
I wish I had a decent camera to upload some quality video of the cool industrial dubstep mayhem Iāve been creating recentlyā¦
I think noone would have a problem with you uploading audio. A lot of people (including myself) are just looking out for real life examples with the AR.
