Anti-Ambient music_top-down design

Ambient remix by Tom Thommsen. Btw, it doesn’t seem ambient at all.

This Tom?

Because some of his early work was about as anti-ambient as you can get.

So I got a Model:Samples to make uhh samples for my OT.

There were tornadoes and crazy storms last night. When I woke up it was snowing. So I feel this song makes sense in that context…

24 step sequence beat I jammed on:

I’ve been out of the Anti-Ambient mindset lately but I will be getting back into it promptly

@UndercoverBrother
Everything about this is so cool thanks for sharing

@Fin25
This is fun! I wanna know what song you sampled. I used Terry Riley - In C for the bird song

@sezare56
This is the correct attitude to have when we get to just pretend up a brand new musical movement

@DonovanDwyer

@jefones
The classic

@selfup
Snowy for sure!

One track is just an amen break, chopped up and put through an out of sync delay. The other is an acapella version of Chandelier by Sia using sample and hold on the sample start and the same out of sync delay to move it about a bit.

I propose we call this genre Antient.

I have nothing against ants. Some of my favourite musicians are ants. I’m not an antist, honestly!

You know, when I first started reading this thread, Tom Ellard was the first Tom that I thought of.
