Any San Luis obispians care to share what the area is like outside of being wine country?

I visited ~15 years ago. Lots of students, poor opportunities for pedestrians in the American tradition, nice American-style small town center, good sushi restaurant. Nice place!

Music Man guitars and iFixit are both based there.
Been there. Cute little college town. Middle of nowhere if you like that sort of thing. Pismo Beach was cool. You can camp on it.
oh wow, they’ve got prisons up there too, that’s not a good pitch for such a small area
