I just loaded a bunch of sound banks. As we all know, each bank in the A4 only holds 256 sounds. As I imported sound files, some of these banks maxed out and I really don’t know if I loaded all of my files. In addition, some files have been duplicated. Is there a utility where it will locate duplicate files and delete them? I would rather duplicate files not take up space on my +drive.
Did you ever find a way to do this? I’ve had my MKI for a while, and the previous owner had loaded some sound packs twice, but it’s not the exact same set of sounds, they’re kind of mix and matched. Would love to find an easy way to find the duplicates.
I used transfer to copy all of the banks into individual folders, then loaded the filenames into a spreadsheet, and searched for duplicates. then I used transfer to delete the duplicates.
That method would work too. I didn’t edit the transferred file on my computer and then transfer them back though. I just used the transfer app to delete the duplicates, and then cut/pasted to re-organize the ones that were left.
