So I‘m having a recent issue where ableton/push is randomly not triggering certain pads on my ARMKI.
It’s usually the kick and snare that drop out, sometimes the whole bottom row, sometimes the high hats, sometimes it’s half the kit but as I’m hitting them they will randomly accept the trigger momentarily and then drop out again.
Pads are fine on the AR itself.
I can even a record midi clip into ableton and it will still have these dropouts when playing back the midi clip.
I’ve tried updating both the AR and overbridge (I even fully uninstalled OB and reinstalled the new version of OB), restarted Ableton dozens of times as well as my computer several times.
Thanks so much!
Nothing concrete from me, just general set-up ideas:
- Have you re-routed your signals tecently? Could yiu have introduced a MIDI-loop?
- do you need new MIDI cables?
- have you accidentally put some crazy MIDI processor M4L widget into your AR preset?
Someone suggest in a Facebook group that they had the same issue and it turned out to be a problem with their live templates for controlling AR. He suggested I reinstall the them.
So after not being able to find them again online, I found the original AR template I had for ableton and push 2 in my files.
I cut and pasted the AR template into my main live set in place of the one that was in there and it started working perfectly!
I’m not sure what happened or how I became corrupted though.
Ghosts in the machines. Good to hear you got it fixed!
