Scale advance mode ( track length) on accent, mute, swing and slide tracks.
This is such a great request that it physically hurts me that we don’t have it, yet.
To Yet!
Edit: Oh, one more thing. Trig conditions on those (accent, mute, swing and slide) too please. Let’s turn this into a proper calculator.
I don’t think this is possible because there is only one analog filter per voice. I guess maybe you could bypass the filter for one of the two voices but I can’t see it happening!
I thought accent, mute, swing and slide were like “trigs” on individual tracks, so they’re already like this.
Do you mean you’d like pattern-level accent, mute, swing and slide tracks? Would they apply to all tracks?
Only trigs no track lengths… i´m talking about the possibility to have individual lengths to have one length for the regular tracks and other length for the mutes or accents, polymetric party, you know? hehehehe
why not? or independent…
Hi, that maybe so but i can set the filter completely different for track 11 and 12 and it still works even though it is in the same “choke” group. Besides that, I wouldn’t mind sharing the filter
I understand the synth engines are limited to 8 voices but the ability for 12 samples at the same time could be unlocked with a software update. Even if it is a bit difficult Elektron could do it, they are a great company.
I really hope they will unlock this and the better sample start/end finetuning like on the digitakt, that would be great!
Few months in with the Rytm, very little to complain about (apart from the occasional refusal to boot, but the second time always works)
My two biggest wishes:
-
An option to cut samples right off when you hit the mute pad. If we would have an option in the menu to directly choke a sample from playing/looping any further, that would definitely tidy up my workflow.
-
Slice mode for chopping up samples.
Request: Better midi for external control / consistency.
Send/Receive Midi Note or CC’s to stop / start / re-start the sequencer. Or add in System realtime start/stop functionality to all products.
e.g. Octatrack can respond to the following note messages:
- A1 (33) : Sequencer Stop
- A#1 (34) : Sequencer Start
- B1 (35) : Sequencer Restart
Better consistency with regards to your Midi implementations would make the products a lot more flexible.
Agreed, these would improve improve the AR loads, especially the fine tune sample start.
I would also love fine tune for the dual osc too, as the synth constantly drifts out of tune and sometimes have to change register to get it move in tune with certain oscillator configurations. Incremental tuning doesn’t help with this.
Small request for FUNC behavior in MUTE mode:
I really love how you can hold down FUNC and press a bunch of PADS so they activate/deactivate as a group when FUNC is released. I noticed, however, that the TRIGS are deactivated when FUNC is held… they just don’t do anything.
I would love for the TRIGS to be active when holding FUNC in MUTE mode, just like they are active regardless if the PAD is lit or not (if that track is muted/unmuted).
The ability to layer samples when the synth engine isn’t being used on a pad and to have samples which don’t choke themselves or others, for ride cymbals etc.
The ability of one pad’s filter to be used as a global (or semi global) filter.
Like polyphonic playback of samples on single pads? I doubt the engine has that much DSP available. The Synthesis voices are analog components not code, so you wouldn’t gain anything by turning them off on a track.
Hmm. Sounds like a UI nightmare to me. Assigning them would be difficult and more menu-divey. But Performances and Scenes can be utilised to change multiple filter cutoffs at once. Or you could get an Analog Heat
the filter is part of the voice path, so to route any voices into another voice’s filter would require a hardware rework
you can kind of do this manually, though, by setting up a performance macro that controls the filter of all the voices
the paired voices that choke each other are actually just a single voice under the hood, just exposed as 2 different ones in the UI. it’s essentially changing the voice parameters from one setting to another when you trigger them, and this is why the sound is choked.
Now that there’s the Power Handle for the model:samples, Can we please get a power handle for the Rytm?
It’d be cool if the disabled machines still sent midi on the encoders. I’m tryna use those knobs dude.
Also if we could control the amp envelope reset
Set the volume of the synth engine to 0?
Noise from Analog 4 , i like the noise engine from the Analog 4
