AR MK1 - USB MIDI controller and overbridge possible at the same time?!

I hope the question makes sense. I want to get a knobby MIDI controller for my AR MK1 but I also want to record the audio into my DAW with overbridge. Most (cheaper) MIDI control surfaces only have a USB port so if I want to plug the controller into the AR and also a cable to the computer is this possible?

i.e. If I plug a USB hub into the AR then will I be able to get MIDI in from the controller and the audio out into the DAW via the AR VST plugin using overbridge?

Many thanks.

I didn’t even know AR hosted midi usb!
This is just me, but the way I would do it is plug both devices into the computer, then route the Midi within your DAW.
Cheers.

Thanks, that actually occurred to me after I posted my message so I guess I’ll give it a try when I’m not working!

I was looking at an expensive faderfox controller but I think if I treat the paired channels on the AR as one (control volume and other parameters on the paired tracks with a single knob) then a much cheaper 8-track controller would be fine.

I reckon 8 tracks is as much as my brain can handle at once anyway and I’ll save a fortune!
